The PISA Integrity Management Program entails the implementation of various tools to assist the customers in selecting the right people, and then adding a continuous screening solution. This creates a holistic approach to ease the integrity management process.

Pre-Employment Screening Tools

There are various pre-employment screening tools that a company can select in order to assist them in choosing the right candidates. These tools can be implemented in a successive hurdles approach, saving time and money while providing the optimum amount of information. The following tools can be used in the pre-employment selection process:

Background VettingBackground Checks

Background vetting is the most basic form of due diligence when it comes to selecting the right people. The PISA Integrity Assessment Centre offers a variety of background checks that can be conducted including the following:

Once the information provided by the applicants have been verified with one or more of the selected background checks, the selected applicants can be sent for various pre-employment screening tests to monitor for historical risk behaviour which could pose a threat to the company, or for aptitude to cognitive assessments, or both.

Polygraph and Converus EyeDetect Testing

Polygraph examinations and Converus EyeDetect testing provide a unique opportunity to ask questions to applicants while monitoring their responses to determine whether they are being truthful. Selected applicants are requested to fill out a questionnaire designed collect important information. The applicants are informed that they will be required to verify the information that they submit on the form with a polygraph examination. The questionnaire includes information regarding the applicants history, qualifications, previous employment history, and various other aspects such as drug and alcohol use, involvement in criminal activity and financial status. The information collected on the questionnaire can be customized to suit the relevance of the position for which the individual is applying and to target possible risk areas at the company. Once the questionnaire has been completed, the examiner will go through the form with the applicant in a structured interview. Subsequently, applicants are requested to answer to a specific set of pre-determined questions to verify their honest on the information given. These examinations can be conducted using a standard polygraph examination, or through the use of the Converus EyeDetect system which allows for large scale screenings at a lower cost and time-frame.

Psychometric Assessments

The PISA Integrity Assessment Centre offers a variety of psychometric tests that can assist business in gaining a better understanding of the employees on multiple different facets. These psychometric assessments can be applied on an individual basis or can be combined to suite the unique needs of your individual business. These assessments can be implemented online throughout South Africa and various countries in Africa, making it a cost effective and easy to implement solution. The psychometric assessments range from integrity assessments to various cognitive, aptitude, personality and potential assessments. The following psychometric assessments are available:

Integrity Assessments:

Integrity Psychometric Tests are assessments designed to focus specifically on the factors of the applicant that measures a person's integrity. These examinations can thus be a great indicator of how the person will act as an employee of the company when faced with issues of ethical behaviour. Continuous Screening Examinations

Lie Detector Screenings

These screening examination can be conducted using polygraph examinations or the Converus EyeDetect system. This examination can be scheduled to occur on a pre-determined time-frame ranging from once every three months to once a year. As employees are aware that they will be undergoing polygraph examinations, this program acts as an effective deterrent for criminal or unethical activities. The examinations can be combined with a rewards based program to create a positive atmosphere and a whistle-blower program to assist employees to participate in the fight against crime.
